<strong>Exhibit Labels:</strong><br /><br />[1] College of Education is renamed (2006). After a $15 million gift to the College of Education – the largest in University history – the college is renamed after it benefactor, Judith Herb. (left side of case)<br /><br />[2] The University of Toledo and Medical University of Ohio merge (2006). After months of discussion, President Johnson (UToledo) and President Jacobs (MUO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding Regarding the Combination of the University of Toledo and the Medical University of Ohio at Toledo on December 16, 2005. On March 31, 2006, the Ohio governor signed a document merging the two institutions, which became official on July 1, 2006. The "new university" retained the University of Toledo name and the Medical University of Ohio became the Health Science Campus. <br /><br />[3] Memorial Field House Grand Opening (2008). Once the site of basketball and concerts, the second building ever built on the Bancroft campus, the Field House fell into disuse after the opening of Centennial Hall – later renamed Savage Hall – in 1976. In 2007, the Board of Trustees approved a proposal for a $25 million renovation that would include 80,000 square feet of additional space for offices and classrooms. <br /><br />[4] College of Arts and Sciences celebrates 100 years at UToledo (2009).
