The present invention relates to a novel process for the preparation of highly potent histamine receptor antagonists, in particular histamine H3 -receptor antagonists. Also disclosed is a novel process for the preparation of intermediates useful in the preparation of histamine receptor antagonists, in particular H3 -receptor antagonists.
