Description

<strong>Exhibit label:</strong><br /><br />Memorial program (1932): A Shakespearean actor while a student at the University of Minnesota, President Doermann directed Hamlet, given in the theatre in University Hall. When he passed away unexpectedly in 1932 from septicemia, the Board of Directors voted to name the University Theatre the "Henry J. Doermann Theatre" in his honor.
