Abstract
This chapter documents the Women’s Rights Movement from the fight for a woman’s right to vote in the 1840s to the second wave of feminism during the post-World War II era and the ongoing demand for the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment.

This chapter documents the Women’s Rights Movement from the fight for a woman’s right to vote in the 1840s to the second wave of feminism during the post-World War II era and the ongoing demand for the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment. Other activist efforts included helping to pass legislation to protect rape survivors, pregnant working women, and equal education opportunities. Collections represented in this exhibit include:
