dc.descriptionCa2Al3(SiO4)3(OH) and Al2O3 - Mohs Hardness: 6-7 and 9. Anyolite, also known as "ruby in zoisite," is a rock composed of zoisite, with red corundum crystals (ruby) and often accented by black crystals of the hornblende, tschermakite. It is a rock that attracts attention and is cut into attractive cabochons and used to produce small sculptures.
