<strong>Exhibit labels:</strong><br /><br />[1]The Blockhouse (1922). The University yearbook was first published in 1922 and ran yearly until 1971. Publication resumed in 1979, followed by a 50th anniversary edition published in 1980-81, with the final yearbook covering the 1984-85 academic year.<br /><br />[2]Course Catalog (1929). This bulletin--as course catalogs were called at the time--lists all late afternoon and evening classes for the 1929-1930 academic year. These classes were open to adult members of the community whose college education was interrupted or delayed, were unable to attend college, or wanted to take classes due to personal interest.<br /><br />[3] Program for Inauguration of President Doermann (1928). After three years of administrative instability, the Board of Directors chose Henry J. Doermann as the University's seventh president. This was the first time the University held an inauguration ceremony for an incoming president. <br /><br />[4] Speech Regarding New Campus Bond Issue (1928). This speech makes note of the bond issue's successful passing, as well as the challenge of finding a location for the new campus that will serve the interests of both traditional and night session students.<br /><br />[5] Groundbreaking Ceremony (1929). In this photograph, President Doermann can be seen during the groundbreaking of the new campus (right side of case, top) <br /><br />[6] Pamphlet in Support of Bond Issue for a New University Campus (ca. 1928). In April 1928, the University Board approved a resolution proposing a new campus. In November of that year, Toledo Mayor William T. Jackson suggested that a bond issue be put on the ballot for that fall's election. City Council would later approve the bond issue, and students were organized throughout the city in order to make Toledoans aware of the bond's importance (right side of case, bottom)
