<strong>Exhibit labels</strong><br /><br />[1] Dedication of the Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women (1980). The University of Toledo Center for Women was founded in 1977, in large part due to the efforts of the Utoledo Board of Trustees member, Catharine Eberly. After her passing in a tragic car accident in 1979, the Center for Women was rededicated in her honor on December 7, 1980. <br /><br />[2] The University of Toledo 1973-1983: A Decade of Development (1983). In 1973, the University of Toledo undertook the largest fundraising effort in its 100-year history. The effort led to the construction of Centennial (Savage) Hall, the Continuing Education Center, and Centennial Mall, among others. Enrollment increased by more than 40% and academic programs expanded. <br /><br />[3] Jamie Farr (1983). Jamie Farr starred as Corporal Klinger on the popular television show M*A*S*H, in which writers often wrote references to the actor's Toledo hometown. In May of 1983, the University of Toledo awarded Farr an honorary degree. During his visit, he donated several scripts from the final season of M*A*S*H to the Canaday Center, as an addition to the collection initially developed in his name in 1977. <br /><br />[4] University Master Plan (1986). University Master Plan (1986). Twelfth University president, James McComas, appointed a committee to explore a development plan for the University. With a planning consultant, the committee presented three plans for public comment, two of which would have created a second mall similar to Centennial Mall in a different area on campus.<br /><br /> [5] The University of Toledo Viewbook (1983-1984). The viewbook provides an overview of the university's offerings, both academic and social.
