First Student Organization on Campus: Cresset Fraternity (Pi Kappa Alpha)

Revived interest in the University of Toledo due to the recently formed College of Arts and Letters led to an influx of students in 1914, four of whom met at the YMCA in October 1915 to form a secret organization. The Cresset Fraternity sought to create student interest in campus life, and served as the predecessor to Pi Kappa Alpha.
