<strong>Exhibit label:</strong>Creation of the Community and Technical College (1967, 1970). Prior to establishing the Community and Technical College, the University of Toledo Junior College program awarded associate degrees in either arts or science. The program underwent numerous changes over the years, and in 1957, University faculty voted to create a Technical Institute within the Junior College. Three years later, the Junior College finally began creating its own courses. In 1963, the name changed to University Community and Technical College, later known as ComTech. The college eventually moved to Scott Park, the original property once owned by Jesup Scott.
