Sb2S3 Mohs Hardness: 2. Stibnite is the primary ore of antimony. The majority of antimony produced is used as fire retardants. It’s also a useful alloy with lead, increasing its hardness and mechanical strength, and used in the production of leadacid batteries for the motor-vehicle industry. China holds 77% of the world’s stibnite reserves.
